The Concert For George

Paul & Heather Mills McCartney with Ringo Starr George Harrison's former bandmates Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Jeff Lynne and Tom Petty were among the guests at the L.A. premiere of the big-screen version of "The Concert For George."

The all-star tribute is part performance ... part documentary ... shot at London's Royal Albert Hall on November 29th, 2002 — the first anniversary of George's death.

Ringo Starr & Tom Petty The concert features performances by McCartney, Starr, Petty, Lynne, Eric Clapton, Billy Preston, Jools Holland, Ravi Shankar and many more of George's friends.

It's in a very limited run at movie theaters in Colorado — call 303-283-FILM for information.

If you miss the movie, you can catch "The Concert For George" on DVD when it's released in late November.

Old Farmer's Almanac
Just out: the 2004 Old Farmer's Almanac.

Its editor, Janice Stillman, dropped by our Ace & Friends studio to tell us about what's inside ... including some interesting tidbits:

It's rutting season for our Rocky Mountain elk. The male elk — the bulls — are very anxious these days ... looking for the ladies — the cows — and making all kinds of noises in the process.
