Stock Show Sideshow
Week of February 6, 2004
Las Vegas has its Consumer Electronics Show, Detroit hosts the International Audio show — but in Denver, the big winter event is the National Western Stock Show, Rodeo & Horse Show.

This year, western-style entertainers, ranchers, agri-business, equestrians, exhibitors, vendors and the public came together in record numbers. Good weather and an increased schedule of activities pushed the 99th annual Stock Show's attendance up to a record 633,544, marking the eighth consecutive year that more than 600,000 spectators made the show Denver's largest annual convention.

Ace Young caught up with a couple of the more offbeat aspects of the Stock Show — like the display of champion steer Flush in the opulently-appointed lobby of the Brown Palace Hotel.

Among the vendors at this year's Stock Show was Sandy Meyer with her Classic Leather Designs, who spoke to Ace Young about a most unusual best-seller at her booth.
